Honestly this is your personal preference. My point of view is that the included tip would be for standard service, but if you find that your server was far more attentative than the average server, now would be an appropriate time to tip on top of the included gratuity.
It makes sense for them to include the gratuity based off the fact that they want their servers to be able to make a living for themselves, without raising the food prices, but at the same time, it makes it more confusing for the visitors, who aren’t familiar.
